1. "River Rats" Saturday Science & Nature Program for 5 to 8 Years

Dads and Moms of the counties of New Jersey! Give the gift of imagination, wonder and discovery to your most precious treasures, your kids. Sign them up for the environmental outdoor, exploration workshop and allow them to not only make life friends but also open up their minds to embrace what is beyond the confines of concrete buildings - and their devices.

2. Learn About Cannons

When: Apr 7, 10 am

Where: 3055 River Road, River Road Park, Bedminster, NJ 07921

History buffs and artillery enthusiasts are encouraged to join this muzzle-loading artillery safety qualification program. Participants get the chance to learn how to load up an original canon and a 10-lbs rifle replica!  Spectators are welcome to watch the firing of the canons and some of the outdoor training!  

3. Saturday Samplers Book Group to Discuss Short Stories by Hilary M

When: Apr 7, 11 am

Where: 1 Anderson Hill Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924

Get your imaginative, creative juices flowing as you join a meeting of the minds. Read and discuss the collection of ten stories within the pages of "The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher", and be fully enthralled and engaged. 

4. Wagner College Theater 75th Anniv Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Play

When: Apr 8, 10 am

Where: 40 Whitenack Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920

The Wagner College students will be hosting and performing a play on the monumental Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, as a way to reflect on the testimony of survivors and remember the victims of the Holocaust.

5. Carnaby St. Band in Concert - National Library Week Kick-Off

When: Apr 8, 2 pm

Where: 32 South Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ Basking Ridge, NJ Patch

The boys from across the pond, the Carnaby St. Band, graces the stage of the Bernards Township Library this weekend. Take a stroll down memory lane when music was music. 

6. Abigail & John Adams

When: Apr. 8, 2 pm

Where: 3055 River Road, River Road Park, Bedminster, NJ 07921

Love and intellect made for the great pairing of Abigail Smith and John Adams. Having exchanged over a thousand letters between them, we get a glimpse of the workings of each of their minds and what they believed and held importantly, as well as how they each elevated each other through inspiration.

7. "Strength and Patience" - Paintings by Terri Fraser

When: Apr 8, 2 pm

Where: 1 Anderson Hill Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924

On display, all this month of April is the magnificent collection of paintings by Terri Fraser. Be there for the opening reception this weekend and be mesmerized by the beauty of the Woodside of New Jersey Ms. Fraser captures on the various mediums she uses. 

8. Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Somerset Hills Service

When: Apr 8, 10 am

A place where compassion, empathy, and enthusiasm to become part of a community of people from all walks of life with a common belief held, the liberal Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Somerset Hills invites all to our services this weekend. Come and be blessed.

9. Connect with Nature at Colonial Park Gardens "Forest Bathing"

When: Apr 8, 12 pm

Where: Parking Lot A at Colonial Park, Mettlers Road, Somerset, NJ 08873

Practice the Japanese tradition of  Shinrin-yoku and forest bathe this weekend within the serene sanctuary of the Colonial Park Gardens. Take a load off of the world and be touched mind, body, and spirit. 

10. Celebrate Spring with Sunday Interpretive Walks at Buck Garden

When: Apr 8, 2:30 pm

Where: 11 Layton Road, Far Hills, NJ 07931

Take relaxing tours of the Leonard J. Buck Garden with the Woodland Walks. Tours of the 13-acre garden will acquaint participants with spring flowers, plants, small animals, and shrubbery. Be amazed at what a little fresh air can do for you. It's a date for the senses.
