1. Saturdays on STEM

Join in and be part of the series of workshops that encourages young minds to get into Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Support their future and open them up to opportunities!

2. NJ Audubon: Digital Photography Workshop 6: Bird Photography

When: Feb 18, 2017 at 10:00am

Where: Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924

Phil Witt, NJ Audubon Associate Naturalist shall lead workshop number 6 on capturing wildlife - particularly birds - this weekend. Learn how to review and choose proper equipment and enrich your photos by absorbing and imbibing techniques.

3. NJ Audubon: Belize Travelogue

Where: Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924

Take a virtual trip to Belize and be part of the experiences of NJ Audubon Associate Naturalists,  Becky & Phil Witt. Traipse on over without leaving your seat as you enjoy the sights of Belize in Central America - the place where bird species congregate.

4. Volunteers Needed for SHIP (Summit Helping Its People)

When: Feb 18, 2017 at 2:30pm

Where: Oakes Center, 120 Morris Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901

Give a hand this weekend as we prepare and serve up hot meals to people with very little or no means to seek a living. Touch a life or two and be part of a bigger thing! The return is so much more rewarding than we realize.

5. Lunar New Year Celebration - Family Fun

When: Feb 18, 2017 at 3:00pm 

Where: Bernards Township Library, 32 South Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920

The Wushu - Kung Fu Fitness Center of East Hanover and Basking Ridge invites one and all to enjoy a traditional Chinese Lion Dance and a wushu martial arts demonstration. Be entranced by graceful lion dancers as they perform to the trance-inducing beats of traditional drums. Be impressed and welcome the new Lunar Year with a bang!

6. The Whats and Whys of Life - NJ Church Oasis Offers Meaning of Life Message Series

7. Junior Classes - Robotics FLL

When: Feb 19, 2017 at 10:00am 

Where: Marker Place, 36 Chatham Road, Summit, NJ

Excite and challenge the minds of your 6 to 8-year-olds and open them up to the relevant world of STEM. Teams will learn the basic engineering concepts of building real-world themes with LEGO elements. Ignite in them passions to discover and join them as they grow and learn.

8. Robotics FLL - Junior League

When: Feb 19, 2017 at 10:00am 

Where: Marker Place, 36 Chatham Road, Summit, NJ

The annual FIRST LEGO League Jr. once again invites parents along with their 6-10 year-olds to experience STEM in action. See the priceless look of achievement on your little one's face when they, as part of a team, build working, moving models made of LEGO elements. Instill CORE values in them early as you allow them to celebrate discovery and appreciate teamwork.

9. SAT Preparation Course at the Hillsborough Municipal Building and Immaculata High School

When: Feb 19, 2017 at 1:00pm

Where: Hillsborough Municipal Building, 379 South Branch Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844

Susan Alaimo from Columbia University will be holding tutorial and readiness workshops for the youth to prepare them for college and university. Sign up your teenagers to give them the edge to pass and help carve a better path for their future.

10. Verrie Sweet and Artificial: Music of the Little Ice Age (1650–1850) - The Cisraritanian Consort of Viols

Where: Farmstead Arts Center, Kennedy Martin Stelle Farmstead, 50 King George Road, Basking Ridge, NJ

New Jersey’s historical string ensemble, The Cisraritanian Consort of Viols, will be performing classics of yore that will tug at heart strings you didn't know were there. Be transported, be entranced and enchanted by pieces as you enjoy ear candy in the apt setting of The Farmstead Arts Center on the grounds of the historic Kennedy Martin Stelle Farmstead.
