“Everyone is great here in my community, it's one of the reasons I moved to this area. There are many people who ride bicycles for fitness, there's a nearby lake for families to enjoy during the summer months. The schools are good and the staff cares about the students successes.”
“A wonderful unique place for everyone to visit any time of year. The Raptor Trust is open to the public seven days a week. What makes it unique is not only the location and the birds you can view but the amazing work that goes on behind the scenes for all these years. The tireless dedication given to wildlife by the Staff and volunteers unsurpassed. Don't just look at the birds but ask about them and the history of the Raptor Trust Center, learn something.” - D.
“They rehab injured raptors and other birds, and release the ones that recover. Those that are too injured find a safe home here. You can tour the the cages of those that can not be released. They provide valuable education on Raptors. Great for families” - F
“We lucked out that it wasn't a hot day in early August, we really enjoyed the different areas, some of which are spread out (some a few miles from each other). Lots of flowers, variety of habitats, we did see a few birds, lots of trees, fields. GREAT book shop with pleasant staff, hummingbird feeders, deer, groundhog, a little creek. A very pleasant place. An escape from reality.” - T
"The National Parks Service is to be congratulated for the way they have expanded and protected this invaluable habitat. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen. Best to start with the visitor centre to get a feel of what there is and where to go." - Colin F.

“Our neighborhood is very much a family. Everyone knows everyone and we all genuinely care about one another. I could not think of a better place to grow up than in my hometown. While I am ready to leave and start a new chapter of my life away at school, I will always look forward to coming back home for a visit."
