The buyer journey can be quite complex with many twists and turns. Having an advocate by your side can be undervalued early on in the process. Especially with the hot topic swirling around in Silicon Valley questioning the value add of the real estate agent has spurred on new tech start up companies and real estate brokerages formed to satisfy those that don't see the need or value.
I love telling these stories, to hopefully educate consumers that there is more to the value of a real estate agent than finding a home on the Multiple Listing Service or opening a door to a home for a personal showing. From exposure to community insights, to keeping a home inspection issues from blowing up the deal of their dream home, to dealing with multiple offers on the property they want, to advice when the bank appraisal comes in shy of the agreed sales price...etc. etc. etc.
Having been licensed to sell real estate for over 2 decades, transactions are always different, with the players in the deal varying...from inspectors to attorneys to co-agents, to couples or individuals with unique circumstances that we need to assess. THIS is what makes this job so much fun--like a complex puzzle, interesting and critical!
